IV International Competition of Young Scientists

On December 26, 2023, the AIU hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the IV International Competition of Young Scientists 2023 for the Prof. J. Musayeva Prize for the best research work on topical areas of economic development in Central Asia for the future.

The award ceremony was attended by the contestants and leading scientists-economists of scientific institutions and universities of the country. The presentation of the best works was accompanied by an active discussion. The contestants received valuable comments on improving their research from qualified specialists. The winners of the IV Competition of Young Scientists 2023 were the followings:

  • 1st place – Aziret Zhanybekov, a 4th-year student of KRSU, was awarded a prize of 50 thousand soms for his work “Econometric analysis of the gold mining sector of the Kyrgyz Republic: impact on the economy and recommendations for improving efficiency”

  • 2nd place – Aizhana Madumarova, a graduate student of the OSCE Academy was awarded a prize of 25 thousand soms for her work “Border conflicts between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan: conflict description, consequences, and resolution”

  • 3rd place – Sabrina Gulmamadova, a graduate student of the OSCE Academy was awarded a prize of 10 thousand soms for her research on the topic “Stock market and economic growth in Kazakhstan: an application of ARDL model”.

It should be noted that the contestant Aizhana Madumarova is a graduate of the Department of International Relations of the AIU. 

This project is aimed at supporting the activities of young scientists and improving the quality of research in the field of economics of Central Asian countries. The competition is held by the Center for Scientific Research “Razvitie” together with the Ala-Too International University on a regular basis every 2 years. The next competition will take place in 2025. We express our gratitude to the organizers and congratulations to the winners!
