IV International Conference of Central Asia

On February 6, 2024, the IV International Conference of Central Asia on “Economic corridors and new trends in Geo-Economics and Geopolitics”, organized by the Silk Road Research Center in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of the AIU. The organizers were also the Leuven Center for Global Governance Studies in Belgium and the College of Humanities in Kazakhstan.

This conference began with a welcoming speech by the rector of AIU Zhakshylykov Zhyldyzbek and gathered leading research specialists from around the world who participated in a hybrid online-offline format. The special significance of the conference was added by the presence of Professor Hans-Christian Brauweiler, who chaired the first part of the event, as well as other guests from the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences in Zwickau, Germany, who actively participated in the work. The exchange of ideas, analysis of the latest trends in geo-economics and geopolitics, as well as discussion of promising economic corridors became the key topics of the conference. There were interesting discussions and presentations.
